Matthew Clough-Hunter holds a MFA from California Institute of the Arts in World Music and Composition and a BFA from Denison University in Music Performance - Jazz Guitar. He has performed in a variety of styles of music such as Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, Experimental, Indonesian gamelan (Balinese/Javanese) and as a solo songwriter. His songwriting material can also be heard arranged for table-top percussion in his group "Sir La Tabla". Most notably, he has performed with Indonesian guitarist Balawan and world class musician/dancer Nyomen Wenten. 

Matthew composes music mostly for film, video games and art installations. He composed the song “My Heart is Broken” for the film series “Leimert Park”. He has contributed to the soundtrack for the game Civilization VI and helped record voice overs for the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Matthew looks forward to a future of making more music to inspire others and continue to teach the next generation how to play and create their own music.
